Atop a hill stood a young man, bearded and bewildered by the
sight in front of him. A barren land as vast as the night
sky stretched out before his very eyes. No trees, no water, no
animals, no life. Hopeless and alone, the man stretched his arms
out above him, heaving a huge sigh from his chest and then ven-
tured down into the wastelands.

Yes, fear wore well on his brow, but the only option he had
was to move forward. With a forgotten past, and a bleak
present, the future was all he had left. Clinging to his back he
wore a keyed board, although he had no knowledge of its purpose.
How could he know? His past had been erased. Either way, he
kept moving.

Slowly, as the sun sank into the horizon, he began to feel
something. The ground shook beneath his feet, although
not at random. There was a rhythm to this vibration. As he
moved forward, the shaking grew more intense, making it hard
to walk. He stumbled and struggled to get sound footing when
he noticed not far ahead there was a crack in the earth. Moving
as quick as he could, for a chill filled the air as the sun finally
set, he made his way to the opening.

To his surprise, there was a faint light mingling in the dust as he entered. The thumping grew with intensity, making his skin crawl, although not with fear, but with excitement. Through the dark, a flashing light pierced his eyes as he gazed upon a beast bashing huge stones with its fists. An amazing sight that brought him to his knees! He crawled forward, unable to stop himself as the beat drew him in. Then, it stopped. The beast locked eyes with the young man and beckoned him forward. He rose to his feet and moved in. His mind raced with thoughts of death as well as life! The beast stretched out its long arms and embraced the man. The beast said softly in a deep voice, “we are one now.” Within a moment the flames of life burst out and the man and the beast were enveloped in flashing lights. Within a moment it was over. Placing the keyed board next to the rocks, the new creature bellowed, “WE ARE THE STROBE OGRE!”
I highly recommend this underrated gem. Made of old german christian sermon cassettes, this makes you feel like you´re having an acid trip on the last bench in the back of church during sermon. 10/10 Personal Uschi Records
